I’ve got a few boards going on Pinterest, for anyone who is into that sort of thing. I was one of the first people to request an invite over a year ago, and didn’t do a whole lot with it for six months. I’ve started to set up new boards and get a bit more organized with it now. I’m still trying to figure out the best ways to use it for what I want to do. I see a lot of value in it as a way to organize and build an inspiring database that I can dip into in a crunch.
Anyway, here are a few of the boards I’ve started. Feel free to take a look, and if you’re on Pinterest too, I’d love to hear how you approach it so far.
My Work - I use this board to serve as a portfolio. I’ve got videos of commercials I’ve made, posters I’ve designed and special projects I’ve worked on at Wieden+Kennedy. Most of them are Nike related. But you can see some PlayStation and Google work as well. http://pinterest.com/oylmiller/my-work/
Japan - I love taking photos in Japan. My latest weapon of choice, along with everyone else with an iPhone is Instagram. I take dozens of Instagrams a week, but this is where I store the best of the best. These are the things I love visually about my life in Japan. http://pinterest.com/oylmiller/japan/
Nike Ads - Nike has created some of the best ads in the history of advertising. This is my board to pay tribute to the great ads that have come before. I’m a fan of it all, the irreverence, the design, the voice, the players. http://pinterest.com/oylmiller/nike-ads/
Sports - This is my favorite board. Every time I find a great, classic, funny, iconic sports photo online, I quickly tap the ‘Pin It’ button and add it to this board. You’ll find shots from classic games, trading cards, posters, you name it. When I find something that makes me remember why I love sports, I put it here. Enjoy. http://pinterest.com/oylmiller/sports/
